Two Marshes, One Shoreline

Ajax was the first community on the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail to make its whole stretch off-road, and that stretch doubles as a bird walk. The trail follows Lake Ontario with a marsh at each end: Duffins Marsh by Rotary Park in the west, and Carruthers Marsh, part of a provincially significant coastal wetland, in the east.
