Questions
Questions We Get Asked
The drive, the shuttle and the towns we take birds from, answered.
Do You Board Birds From Barrie And Simcoe County?
Yes. Barrie is about a 76-minute drive from our home in Mississauga, and we already board birds for owners in Bradford, Innisfil and Essa. Barrie owners drop off and collect the same way everyone else does, or book the BST Avian Shuttle.
Do You Board Birds From Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge And Guelph?
Yes. Kitchener is about 66 minutes away, Waterloo 73, Cambridge 56 and Guelph 59, and we have regular clients in all four. Bird-only boarding is rare outside the GTA, so owners in Waterloo Region drive to us.
Do You Board And Groom Birds From Oakville, Burlington, Milton And Halton Hills?
Yes, and Halton is one of our busiest areas after Peel and Toronto. Oakville is 23 minutes away, Burlington 34, Milton 26 and Georgetown 33.
Do You Do Bird Grooming For Brampton?
Yes. Brampton is 17 minutes from us and we groom birds from Brampton every week. Nail clipping is $30 per bird, wing clipping $40, and beak trimming $40 for medium and large birds.
Do You Come To My Home, Or Do I Bring My Bird To You?
Your bird comes to us: we do not do in-home visits. Most owners drive to us at 4578 Gatineau Avenue in Mississauga. If you would rather not drive, the BST Avian Shuttle is a climate-controlled, door-to-door pick-up and drop-off service across the Greater Toronto Area.
How Far Away Will You Take Birds From?
We board birds for owners all over southern Ontario, most of them within a two-hour drive of Mississauga. Our furthest regular clients are in Perth County, about two hours west.
