Questions We Get Asked
How much does bird sitting cost in Toronto?
From $14.75 per bird per day for a small bird such as a budgie, $19.75 for a medium bird such as a conure or cockatiel, $24.75 for a large bird, and $29.75 for an extra-large bird such as an African grey. Longer stays are discounted automatically, and so are extra birds sharing a cage.
Which birds do you board?
Birds of every size, from finches and budgies up to African greys, amazons, eclectus and cockatoos. For large macaws, please contact us first.
Do you come to my house, or does my bird come to you?
Your bird comes to us. We are a house in Mississauga that boards birds for Toronto and the GTA, not a drop-in sitting service — which is what makes the daily out-of-cage time, the daily updates and being able to reach somebody at any hour actually possible.
What do I need to bring?
Your bird's own food, and its cage if you have one that a person can carry. Everything else — fresh water, daily out-of-cage time, and the fruit and vegetables you send — is included.
How do I know my bird is all right while I am away?
You get photos and video of your own bird every day, in the BST Mobile App and by email. If anything changes you hear from us straight away rather than at pick-up.
