Brampton's Wild Flock
Brampton has two of the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority's bird-watching parks inside its own borders. Up north, Heart Lake is a kettle lake the glaciers left behind, open to the public since 1957. On the east side, Claireville's wetlands, valleys and grasslands follow the west branch of the Humber River.

- 2025the March Peel Public Health asked owners to keep pet birds indoors, away from avian flu
That wild flock is the reason pet birds stay inside. A Brampton budgie can watch it through the glass, and when it stays with us, every guest in the house is a bird too.
