Bird boarding for Mississauga bird owners
We live in Mississauga too, in the Hurontario neighbourhood, so from most of the city the drop-off is a few minutes across town: Burnhamthorpe Road to Hurontario Street, then two turns and no highway at all. Pearson is close enough that dropping your bird on the way to a flight adds about four minutes.

Bird vets nearest Mississauga
Glen Erin Animal Hospital on Dunwin Drive is the closest clinic that says it sees birds, about 8 km from the city centre, and its second location, Meadowvale Animal Clinic on Glen Erin Drive, has the same owners and the same avian service. Southdown Animal Clinic on Truscott Drive in Clarkson, about 11 km, recommends a yearly check-up for every pet bird.

Pearson's Feathered Ground Crew
Toronto Pearson, Canada's busiest airport, sits almost entirely inside Mississauga, and about a third of its land is grass, flood plain and farm fields. Herons drift over from Etobicoke Creek and starlings land by the thousand. So the airport keeps a flock of its own: trained birds of prey. A falcon flies low enough for its shadow to be seen, and the wild flock scatters.

- 10falcons, plus a bald eagle named Ivan
- 20+years of birds of prey patrolling the runways
Off duty, the team rests in heated bird houses with JAZZ FM playing. While you fly, your bird gets the easy shift: settling in with us across town, with photos and video every day.
