What’s Included in Boarding?
- Daily photo and video updates in the BST Mobile App, by email, or on the BST Portal
- Daily cage time out for socialization and exercise
- Daily refresh of provided food and water
- Daily servings of provided fruits and vegetables
- Lots of love and interaction
- Care tailored to your bird’s specific needs
- Cage rental offered if needed (see pricing below)
Important Notes on Boarding:
- Longer stays need no special rate: longer stays are charged at a lower rate per day, already factored into your quote. Rates are higher during Canadian statutory holidays (10 stat holidays/year) and peak seasons (Christmas Holidays, Summer Holidays) depending on capacity during your requested dates. Statutory holidays include: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Labour Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day.
- We ask for a recent vet visit with a clean bill of health. A bird without one can still stay with us; we just limit its time with the other birds. For a list of avian veterinarians nearby, visit our Ontario Avian Veterinarians page.
- Extras such as BST Chop, BST Food, administering medications, hand feeding, and extra cage time out can be added for an additional fee.

What’s Included?

Grooming Services: Keeping Your Bird Healthy
Grooming is essential for your bird’s health, and we offer a range of services. Note that we may not service all XL birds for grooming, depending on their temperament and composure. In some cases, it may be better to have grooming done by a vet, who can medicate to address anxiety if needed.
